Immediate Past President, NORM
Practice Administrator
Arthritis & Rheumatology Associates
West Palm Beach, FL

It is with great pleasure that I introduce all of our valued readers to Andrea Zlatkus, the new President of the National Organization of Rheumatology Managers (NORM). Among her various responsibilities as President, Ms Zlatkus will assume the role of Editor-in-Chief of Rheumatology Practice Management (RPM).

As Practice Manager at Chester County Rheumatology, West Chester, PA, for the past 20 years, Ms Zlatkus has been actively involved and instrumental in the development of programs that promote education, advocacy, and leadership in rheumatology. She has also served as Co-Chair of the NORM Education Committee and the Charity Committee. Furthermore, her participation in patient advocacy at state and national levels has helped government officials better understand the many obstacles and nuances that our patients with rheumatic diseases often encounter.

Ms Zlatkus’ individual and collective contributions are heavily responsible for the many successes of our organization. I am confident that her vast experience and leadership skills will continue to help NORM move forward in the coming months, as we transition from a fee-for-service to a value-based payment system. I am very honored and proud to pass the baton of leadership to Ms Zlatkus, who, along with a strong Board of Directors, will guide NORM to the next level.

In a recent interview, Ms Zlatkus shared comments about her aspirations as President of NORM and Editor-in-Chief of RPM.

“I am honored to be the new President of NORM and Editor-in-Chief of RPM. I look forward to working for you and with you as we continue to support rheumatology managers in a variety of platforms. The NORM Board of Directors is dedicated to bringing educational programs to practice managers of all levels. Whether you have been in rheumatology for 20 years, or are new to the field, NORM is here to support you and the entire rheumatology community,” she said.
