Long Beach, CA—Addressing the audience at the National Or­ga­­nization of Rheu­matology Managers 8th Annual Conference, Meryl Rose, CSP, be­gan her presentation on communication by re­calling how she was driving home one day and noticed plumes of smoke on the way. It was a bad sign, as there were many fires near her Cascade, Colorado, home that summer.
